Experience an hour in the company of Birds of Prey. Your experience starts with a tour of our facility, introduced to the Raptors.

Basic instructions on handling Birds of Prey, you are then introduced to the Raptor you will be handling. Then we are ready for your Hawk Walk.
With the basic knowledge of handling your Raptor. You are ready for a walk through our Native West Coast Rain Forest, fern laden floor and meandering creek, with your Raptor on your fist. Your experience ends with a photo of you and your Raptor.

Important stuff you really should know:
Minimum age is 12 years. Participants under 18 years of age will require the signature of a parent orlegal guardian.  All participants will be required to sign a liability release and waiver form.

Number of participants: this is for one person, but there may be others joining this experience

What should you wear, well look outside, and then pack accordingly. Runners are the best foot wear, unless it is damp then we recommend hiking boots.

Course length is one hour

When can you go?
We offer our experiences year round, weather permitting. If your experience happens to be a dreadful day we will re-book for a better day. But if you don’t mind a little wet, we have a forest to act as our umbrella!

Experience a half day in the company of Birds of Prey

Your experience with the birds of prey starts with a quick visit with the raptors. Need to get that anticipation out of the way. Then a little history lesson on falconry and handling birds of Prey. You will learn and master the elusive falconer’s knot. Become familiar with falconry equipment

You will discover that all of the birds here are captive-bred birds of prey that are trained to work for a living, doing anything from flying demonstrations, Educational visits, to pest bird management.

You will then be introduced to the Raptor you will be handling. With the basic knowledge of handling your Raptor. You are ready for having a  walk through our Native West Coast Rain Forest, fern laden floor and meandering creek, with your Raptor on your fist Then onto your first flight. The course ends with a picture with you and your Raptor!

After lunch, (included) you will be introduced to the Raptor you will be handling. With the basic knowledge of handling your Raptor. You are ready for your first experience having a walk with a Hawk upon your fist through our Native West Coast Rain Forest, fern laden floor and meandering creek, then onto your first flights. The course ends with a picture with you and your Raptor, long with a certificate of completion.

• We are weather dependant. The raptors contract with us states; if it is raining we are not flying! But if you are just coming for a hawk walk and dont mind a little rain..... We have a big forest to act as our umbrella. Please dress appropriately.

• If you dont want to experience the Raptors hands on, and just want to have a look at them, there is a $9.00 admission rate and YOU MUST CALL BEFORE COMING OUT.
